Brief:

Students must design and produce a two-colour lino print based on the theme “The Sea”. Students are encouraged to be creative in their approach to the theme.

The lino print must show an understanding of balance and positive and negative space.

All research work including support study artists, preparation drawings and photographs, notes on techniques used in printmaking and print workshop safety must be contained in an A4 notebook.


General Aims:

To explore shape, line and texture through creating a two-colour lino print under the theme “The Sea”

To develop confidence, knowledge and proficiency in printmaking

To understand the use of positive and negative shape within a visual design piece

To understand and apply balance to design work

To demonstrate good time management

To present work in a professional manner
